'if evolution is true why are there still monkeys?'?

Evolution does not claim humans are the best at anything. Evolution does not clify an animal as the best in any category. People create levels of achievement, nature does not. Either an animal can continue to p along inherited traits, or those traits die out and the animal dies if it cannot reproduce.
