Why is "yummy" the most common descriptive word used to express food?

I don't understand, I've never seen another word used on the internet to describe a meal. It's always "yummy". Why is it the only word I see people using when they talk about a specific food? What ever happened to delicious? :( To be honest, I never expected adults to use it instead of other synonyms.
