Sirius Sportster 3?

I know this is an older version, but is there an extension you can by for the FM extender antenna. it has a connection similar to headphones. Will a regular extension fro headphones work to extend the antenna? I have to put it in the back of my ride because my Radio Antenna is in the rear Window, and with what they gave me it wont reach the front of my car. Please help!
