How would the size of the ozone layer increase over time?

Ok the atmosphere naturally contains oxygen, which we breath, but its not just O atoms (here's hoping you got some basic chem) its usually O2 (2 oxygen atoms). Ozone is O3 and is naturally generated in the atmosphere every day.
